To determine the rate of the reaction we first plot the data with [NO2] on the y-axis and time on the x-axis. The initial rate is obtained by determining the slope of the line tangent to t=0 on the graph. Notice in Experiment #2 the initial rate is 1.5 x 10-1 M/min.
