• Based on some questions I have been getting from students I recommend that you look at the Table of Standard Reduction Potentials that is on the Useful Information Page of Exam IV. That exam is linked from the Assignment Page for the Week of April 26, 2010.
  
  
  
  
• The average for Exam 3 is a 61. Most Excellent. The high score is 94. Two students earned this score. They will be recognized at the beginning of class with some very cool SWAG. If you are concerned about your exam score you are welcome to drop by and talk. I can provide some information about how this grade might influence your overall course grade. NOTE: I ended up having to throw out Q16 of the multiple choice. I messed it up. So Exam 3 is out of 97 points not 100. The error was caught after scores were totaled. I have individually corrected those exams that were impacted. The score posted on your Grades Page is the correct score. You will receive your exams during your next laboratory meeting.

• This weeks laboratory is in your During Class Invention and Computer Laboratory Activities Workbook. The first experiment is on page 271 titled Acid/Base Salts. The second experiment is on page 275 and it titled Buffers.

No PS#2 scores have been posted yet, and there was an issue with PS#3 which we are still correcting. Exams will be returned during your next laboratory meeting, beginning Thursday morning. You have the laboratory period that you receive your exam to review it for any errors/concerns/questions that you may have. If you would like any questions reviewed to be sure you have received the correct numebr of points, indicate which question(s) you wanted re-checked and return the exam to your TA. Since only one TA has submitted lab scores your overall course percent has not been calculated. Exams will be returned during your next laboratory meeting, beginning Thursday morning. • There have been a few students visiting me with regards to graphing calculators on the exam tomorrow, and the possiblity of the department supplying the single/double line calculator. The department does not provide calculators, however there will be a limited number of backup calculators available for use. Depending on the number of students needing to use a calculator, and the number available, you may be able to use a calculator for the full time (students needing calculators(SNC)<available backup calculators (ABC)), 25 minutes per student if SNC/2<ABC<SNC, 17 minutes per student if SNC/3<ABC<SNC/2, etc. Single line calculators are ~$10 at the Bookstore, or borrow one from a friend.
  
  
  
  
  
• The first thing you need to do to access materials for this class is to complete the Secret Identification (SID) form. Click on the SID#/Name link in the left frame and complete the form. You will receive an e-mail from Dr. G. indicating your SID has been accepted. Once you have entered an SID, fill out the additional form for some extra credit, and then you can go to your Personal page. On your Personal Page check out the Assignment Page (what is happening in class), and get your personal Review Problem Set.
