ACA12 and BCE12 are now available on your Personal Page. You will need a calculator for the ACA and you might need one for the BCE.

I've updated grades. The overall course % will be the percent I will be using for 6-weeks grades which are due by March 1. I will not be able to have Exam 1 grades completed before the 6-weeks grades are due.

HELP! Session, Monday, February 27, 2017 beginning at 5:30 pm in PS141.

Updated grades are now available on your Personal Grades Page. I now have at least one grade for exams, labs and homework, so I can make a prediction of what your final grade can be. For some students I only have one lab grade, so that may not be as accurate a predictor.

PS7 is now available on your Personal Page.

Laboratory for the Week of February 20th is Part II of Survival Organic Chemistry. There are no pre-lab questions for this experiment, however, if you reviewed alkenes and alkynes in your textbook in Section 20.5, that would be helpful to you.

I've discovered that one of the parts of Q5 was not graded correctly on some student's exams. As a result some student's scores will change on Exam I. I apologize for this error. I did not catch it until Thursday, February 4, 2017 after talking to a student.

Exam 1 average is 58.6. Awesome!!!

A review of the last three class (1/31, 2/2 and 2/7) attendence data based on clicker questions and homework percentage (based on five problem sets), yielded this information.

I have posted the Spring 2017 Tutoring Schedule for PS453 on your Personal Page in the left frame near the top.

You might want to checkout this article on test anxiety.

The first thing you need to do to access materials for this class is to complete the Secret Identification (SID) form. Click on the SID#/Name link in the left frame and complete the form. You will receive an e-mail from Dr. Gelder indicating your SID has been accepted. Once you have entered an SID, fill out the additional form for some extra credit, and then you can go to your Personal page. On your Personal Page check out the Assignment Page (what is happening in class), and get your personal Review Problem Set and Problem Set #1.

Be sure to bring your copy of the During Class Inventions and Computer Lab Activities Workbook to lecture and laboratory class.

For this course you need a textbook (can be Tro; A Molecular Approach; 3rd Edition; Pearson Publishing), the CHEM 1515 Student Laboratory Manual and During Class Inventions and Computer Laboratory Activities Volume II, 3rd Edition, Abraham, Gelder and Greenbowe. Also you will need a TurningPoint clicker for class at 3:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.

Be sure to checkout the PS0Comments if you are having questions on some of the Review Problem Set Problems.
