  • Updated grades are now posted. All the Problem Sets are now entered. PS1 - PS14 are the problem sets that you turned in at the beginning of class. PS16, PS18, PS19 and PS22 are for the PLEs and ACAs that you completed this semester. PS17 and PS21 are for the DCIs that you did following Exam I and Exam II, respectively. PS20 and PS22 are for sets of DCIs. The particular DCIs are given. For PS20 I multiplied each DCI by 3, while for PS23 I multiplied each DCI by 2.4 to get the score. The Course % does not reflect any drops. So your course % is likely to increase a few percent after dropping 6 Problem Sets and 2 laboratory experiments. I am still grading the three Web Labs. Those scores could be up today. If any scores are funky please e-mail me and your TA ASAP, so we can try to fix the error. I will require a copy of any PS, lab or exam to change its score. I am around through Wednesday, May 11, 2005 then I'll be out of town through the weekend.

  • I have linked the prediction page to your personal page. This page (located beneath the link to your grades) will calculate how many points you must make on Exam IV and the Final Exam to earn a particular grade. Please remember this page is only a prediction and assumes that any outstanding homework and lab grades will be the same (average) as those grade that I currently have recorded for you. Check it out. If you have any questions let me know.

  • Check out the link to the web site for our textbook (BLB). The link is near the top of the left frame on our web site. Clicking on the link will take you to a page with an image of our textbook. Near the top of the page is a dropdown menu listing the Chapters in the text. Select a chapter and a page will be loaded for that chapter that contains links to resources. If you would like some practice problems try the Problem Solving Center. When the Problem Center page is loaded scroll down to the red button under flexible questions. Select the Homework link. This will generate a set of questions from the chapter. You will need a calculator.

  • Here is a very nice Periodic Table that contains lots of physical properties and chemical properties for the elements.
