Grades have been updated. The overall course average is currently 65.3. I have also enabled the link for the Grade Prediction. This link provides a prediction of how many points you will need on the remaining three exams to earn a particular grade in CHEM 1515. We will discuss this in class on Tuesday.
The updated average for Exam II is 53.1. New grades are posted. Let me know if anything looks strange. Tom Moulton will have weekly practice sessions on Tuesday's beginning at 6:00 pm in PS109. Ishan will have weekly practice sessions on Thursday's beginning at 5:00 pm in PS109. Salik will have weekly practice sessions on Friday's beginning at 3:30 pm in PS109. The
first thing you need to do to access materials for this class is to complete
the Secret Identification (SID) form. Click on the SID#/Name link in the left
frame and complete the form. You will receive an e-mail from Dr. Gelder indicating
your SID has been accepted. Once you have entered an SID you can go to your Personal page. On your Personal Page check out the Assignment Page (what is happening in class),
and get your personal Review Problem Set and Problem Set #1 from the Problem Set link. For this course you need a textbook (can be Tro; A Molecular Approach; 4th Edition; Pearson Publishing), the CHEM 1515 Student Laboratory Manual and During Class Inventions and Computer Laboratory Activities
Volume II, 3rd Edition, Abraham, Gelder and Greenbowe. Also you will need a TurningPoint clicker for class at 3:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday. ----Previous Announcements----
For our Exam III this semester the following questions on the sample exams are appropriate to study. Exam 3 2003: Q1 – Q3 and Q5. Exam 3 2001: Q1, Q2, Q5 and Q6. Exam 4 2002: Q1, Q2 and Q3
This week in laboratory is a fun titration experiment.
Exam I updated average is 63.4! Sweet!! Remember when you receive your exam from TA in lab, you should review it. If you have ANY questions about grading identify the question you are concerned about and return the exam to your TA BEFORE you leave the lab. We will review to determine if any change should be made.
