  • The most current grades are posted along with the most current prediction. Remember if any grades are funky get in touch with dr. G.
  • Answers to PS#14 are now available.
  • Exam V (the comprehensive final) does have some multiple choice questions....approximately one-third of the points on the exam are MC.
  • The final exam is scheduled beginning at noon on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 in the same rooms you have taken your hour exams. Check your personal page.
  • There are 4 spots remaining in the CHEM 1515 laboratory that was opened last week. I will check to see what the plan is as to whether another section will be opened.
  • Help Session:
    • Monday, December 8, 2003 at 6:00 pm in PS141.
  • New grades are posted. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I think everything is correct, but if there is anything wrong let me know!

  • Remember this week you MUST check-out of laboratory. FRIDAY, December 13, 2003 (oh, oh!) is the last possible day to check your equipment back to the department.
  •

  • All sections have been total and averaged. The average on exam III is 50. The multiple choice appear to have been a little difficult. Grades are posted. There was a tie of three students with the highest grade at 90!!! They are Zach Gales, Trung Hoang, and Tatsuro Yamada! CONGRATULATIONS...Swag on Monday!!

  • The class overall average is now 63%. A little off of my preferred average of 65%. So I think (on the average) class is performing VERY well. Keep up the good work.

  • Eleven sections have been totaled on Exam II and the average 51.2. The high was a 98 by Jacoby Dewald. CONGRATULATIONS Jacoby! See you in class on Friday...lots of SWAG! coming your way. Grades are up.

  • With 10 sections entered the exam average is 56 and the high score is a 98. You will get your exams back in laboratory beginning Thursday, September 11th. When your TA returns your exam look it over. If you have any questions and would like us to re-grade a question on your exam write a brief note and return the exam to your TA. We will look at the exam in our next staff meeting. If you are satisfied with your exam you may keep it. After you take the exam from your lab room I will NOT change the grade!
  • Be sure to check what you must complete BEFORE attending laboratory this week. Go to your Assignment Page.
  • Your TA's e-mail address is below.

  • Check out the link to the web site for our textbook (BLB). The link is near the top of the left frame on our web site. Clicking on the link will take you to a page with an image of our textbook. Near the top of the page is a dropdown menu listing the Chapters in the text. Select a chapter and a page will be loaded for that chapter that contains links to resources. If you would like some practice problems try the Problem Solving Center. When the Problem Center page is loaded scroll down to the red button under flexible questions. Select the Homework link. This will generate a set of questions from the chapter. You will need a calculator.

  • Here is a very nice Periodic Table that contains lots of physical properties and chemical properties for the elements.
