In place of class for Wednesday I would like you to complete the Google Form Shifting Reactions A before 10:30 am on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Click on the link and answer the questions as fully as you can and then click the Submit button. I will receive your responses. If you have any challenges please e-mail me.
Before class on Friday, February 26, 2021 I would like you to download and complete the Google Slide deck Shifting Reactions B. NOTE: If the link does not appear to work when you click on it, try opening the link in a new tab. Be sure to enter your name on the title slide, and also rename/add your name to the Slide Deck file name. For example, change Shifting Reactions B to Shifting Reactions B John Gelder before mailing the completed Slide Deck and e-mail to me prior to Friday's Class (This would be like a BCE). Again questions? Send me an e-mail.

Replacement video lecture at 9:30 am. Continue discussing Colligative Properties. NOTE: If you missed class today, this video is from a lecture over the same material on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Here are useful sections that you should view: Beginning at 3 minutes and 30 seconds until 6 minutes and 37 sec I worked out a clicker question; beginning at 17' 35" i work a vapor pressure problem; beginning at 26' 35" I discussed the thermodynamics of vapor pressure lowering; beginning at 30' 35" I solved for molar mass using vapor pressure lowering; at 38' 20" I introduced delta Tf and delta Tb; at 50' 00" I worked a sample problem; at 57' 50" I introduced 'i' (# of particles); 61' 15" I discussed the chemical equation that describes the dissolution of NaCl(s); 70' 10" I discussed the difference between ideal and experimental freezing points.
2nd Replacement video lectureThe beginnig of this lecture has two clicker questions about colligative properties that you may find fun. From 12' 00" to 24' or so is a discussion of ideal versus experimental freezing points. At 21' 20" a reference is made to PS6 Problem #5 about weak electrolytes.
